As an advocate for the arts, I bring a wealth of passion to the table that would greatly benefit the board of directors.
My commitment to encourage artistic expression within our community is unwavering, and I am dedicated to ensuring that every individual has access to the enriching experiences that the arts provide. Moreover, my track record of leadership and strategic thinking positions me as a valuable asset in guiding the organization towards continued growth and success. I have experience in management positions which required me to coordinate community outreach events which I believe would be a huge asset to this board.
In the arts specifically I have experience in planning and hosting abstract paint nights to encourage self-expression, in a mixed group of individuals with variable skill levels. I believe it’s important to make everyone realize how important art is for mental health, and also help people realize you don’t need to be a professional artist to create art. There is somewhat of a fear or stigma in those who don’t think of themselves as creative which prevents them from expressing themselves. And those who believe this are missing out on a world of joy! It’s my mission to break that mental barrier for our community— everyone is an artist in their own way!
