From 1998-2001 Naomi undertook a 4 year mentorship in community driven public art called collective echoes,
…and since then she’s been involved in innumerable community-arts-based projects.
Over the years she has realized her own visions and has also been a contributing artist or a board member/volunteer for different organizations.
Naomi was the Artistic Director of the Vancouver Society of Storytelling, between 2009 -2014, conceiving and implementing complex initiatives, developing skills as a production manager and event coordinator.
She has over 20 years experience performing traditional folk and fairytales with diverse communities in contexts such as schools, theaters, forests, festivals and conferences. As an educator, Naomi has been awarded storytelling residencies through both the French and English school boards, as well as delivering creative workshops for all ages on various storied themes.
In 2022, Claudine Pommier (Naomi’s mother), asked her to take over stewardship of the Arts in Action Society, which she was honoured to do and is grateful that a strong and capable board has coalesced.
