Hair stylist by trade and artist at heart, I am a big supporter of the arts in ordinary everyday living.
Through my creative processes, I have learned to plan, organize, and study. I have improved my patience, courage, and balance. With art, I was able to become a better person in a peaceful harmonious way. Sometimes, my creative processes had brought chaos in life, then I learned to clean up after myself. Creativity and curiosity motivates me to take actions in the direction I never imagined myself to be doing: lately, I am fascinated by numbers and data, and decided to use spreadsheets and databases. If internal struggle is a must have characteristics to become an “artist”, then maybe I am. My “annoying” attention-to-detail trait has finally found a place to blossom in studying data science. Art is freedom, to be able to learn and create.
I often think art is similar to hair. Hair is unique to everyone. It is appreciated in every culture. Throughout our history, it always had its place, whether big or small. Art is a primitive and intimate practice that connects us to something vast, rich, mysterious, full of beauty and possibilities.
