Behavioural scientist and human every day
I believe art and science are complementary ways of understanding reality and its complexity. As a member of the AiA Board, I look forward to contributing my perspective alongside this remarkable group and supporting a cycle of learning, discovery, and improvement. My hope is to help others live with greater care and to celebrate the people and actions that make community life meaningful.
I am a researcher in consumer judgment and decision-making, focusing on how people make strategic choices under risk and uncertainty, particularly in contexts of cooperation and competition. I currently serve as Survey and Research Analyst at the College of New Caledonia, provide behavioural research and data analytics services through Socia, and volunteer as a coordinator with the North Shore Ultimate League in North Vancouver.
I often think art is similar to hair. Hair is unique to everyone. It is appreciated in every culture. Throughout our history, it always had its place, whether big or small. Art is a primitive and intimate practice that connects us to something vast, rich, mysterious, full of beauty and possibilities.
